VII BAIT meeting
The students have already covered 8 months of hard phisical training, and are slowly approaching public presentations of their achievements. We await the January week in Klaipeda and the premiere of the diploma performances which will conclude the first academic year and open the second year of BAIT. The BAIT meetings are held both in Poland and in Lithuania. The journeys form one country to the other are a symbol of freedom of the future artists, a symbol of art not having any boundaries and what is more it also shows how physically demanding the job is.
The students are constantly learning new methodologies and the discipline of work. They experience dance, singing, acting and direction. The broad scope of work does not make it easy to the ones who want to focus on one aspect. Some of the students discover new acting abilities, others are becoming choreographers, some of them reject writing and direction, but all want new challenges and even greater “masters”. Only the strong, persistent and the willing to work remain.
Under the watchful eyes of the lecturers and founders of the project Ida Bocian and Ewa Ignaczak, the development of the students becomes more and more apparent. The students constantly discover new abilities, and the noticeable effects of their work increase their confidence.
They receive job offers outside of BAIT (establishing a choir, cooperation in dance performances). They believe in work and passion and not just one talent. They want to work on their bodies, voices and the quality of their speech. They are not in competition with themselves, they support each other, they work as one, become friends. They work on their English. They are frequent theatrte goers and are active participants of the cultural life. They have great expectations towards their teachers, but also towards themselves. They work in their communities making use of the acquired knowledge. And this is just the beginning…
